PAY SCALE

Pay Scale
MS-180.jpg

We truly cannot pay you what you are owed for the service that you provide when you work with us over the summer. Know that it is our priority to serve you, and it is our goal to keep your pay competitive with other camps in the area.

Pay includes food and housing for the duration of summer camp.

Leadership Team: $300/wk

Senior Staff: $200/wk

Junior Staff: $100/wk

Counseling Stipend: $50/wk

Additionally, all hired staff receive $100 for participating in training week.

Other stipends will be added to individuals who take on other specific roles throughout the summer, such as medical, groundskeeping, and media.

Since you are working on mission with us over the summer, you can claim a large portion of hours that you work as volunteer hours. Please let us know if you would like a letter after the summer that details the hours and service that you put in.

Summer Missionary Program: Staff members that would like to make additional money can raise it through Camp Grace (like one would for a mission trip). With our Summer Missionary Program, you can raise additional funds that will be added to your paycheck on a weekly basis. We will even send the support letter for you; supply a list of names and addresses, and we'll take care of the rest. If interested, please send an email to office@cbmcampgrace.com.

2026

Training Week: Camp begins Sunday at 3:30pm and ends Friday at 5:30pm. You may come in as early as 2:00pm to move into your cabin and settle in. Training week is required for all summer staff members to attend. It is designed not only to equip our staff but to give them the confidence to be a spiritual leader in and outside the cabin. Staff will be trained on how to share their testimony, child evangelism, camp procedures and activities, one-on-one coaching, and so much more!

Overnight Weeks of Camp: Staff are expected on campus by 2:30pm to prepare for the week to come; if more time is required, you may come as early as 1:00pm. Our preliminary staff meeting begins at 3:00pm. Counselors must have their cabin prepared before this time. The gate opens at 4:00pm for campers to arrive.

Campers depart from camp starting at 4:00pm on Fridays. All staff will then participate in a camp-wide cleaning before our Meeting, starting at about 6:00pm, or whenever the camp-wide cleaning is complete. This meeting usually lasts just over an hour.

Day Camp: Campers do not arrive until Monday morning. As such, our arrival time for staff changes slightly on Sunday evening. Arrival times will be announced when information becomes available. Throughout the week, the camp program ends at 4:30pm, and staff have the evenings off.

Final Day of Camp: Our program officially ends for staff and campers alike on Friday, July 31st. We end our summer together with the annual CC Awards, along with a time of testimony and worship. This celebration usually lasts all through the night, and staff may stay the evening into Saturday, if they so please. Staff are expected to depart from campus on Saturday (the 1st) unless special arrangements are made ahead of time with the camp director.

THEME:

Theme

This year's theme is the Case of the Empty Tomb. While we work on the details, here's what last year was about.

Last summer, we looked at what it means to be an Exile.  As believers in Jesus, we know this world is not our home. We looked at what it means to follow Jesus while we wait for God's kingdom.
Here is how we it worked:

Summer Theme Verse: Hebrews 13:14

Monday: Dangerous and Wild
Ephesians 2:2-3

Tuesday: The King Rescues

Colossians 1:13

Wednesday: Made Worthy
2 Corinthians 5:21

Thursday: Tools of the Trade
Ephesians 6:10-11

Friday: Homecoming
Ephesians 2:10

Packing List

2026 PACKING LIST

Make sure you bring the essentials! That includes your Bible, a favorite writing utensil, toiletries, bedding for a twin bed, a nice blanket (it can get cold at night in the cabins!), a couple towels (at least one for swimming and one for bathing), and a good mixture of dressy clothes and clothes that you aren't afraid to get messy and sweaty in (it's going to be a HOT summer).

Keep in mind that staff are expected to follow the dress code, as laid out for our campers. These guidelines are established in order to maintain the intended atmosphere at Camp Grace.

  • Shorts must have, at minimum, a 5" inseam. (Men, this applies for your swim shorts, too.) Bicycle shorts must be worn underneath shorts with inseams less than 5".

  • Hole-y pants are permitted as long as the holes fall under the 5" inseam.

  • Leggings are not a substitute for pants.

  • Oversized shirts and hoodies are welcome! But it must be apparent that pants are being worn underneath.

  • No visible bra straps, cleavage, or underwear at any time.

  • Shirts / tops must cover waist when arms are raised.

  • No strapless shirts / tops.

  • Workout and gym clothes should be reasonable (no cutoffs that reveal the torso, nothing too tight and form fitting, etc.)

Guys — shirts must stay on at all times unless at the waterfront. For swimming, stick to trunks. (No speedos or other variants).

Girls — swimsuits must be modest and not show separation between pieces.

  • Vulgar or offensive writing on clothing will not be tolerated.

  • Dresses must be knee length. A general rule of thumb: if you wouldn't wear it at grandma's church, don't wear it at camp!

  • The expectation for dress code is elevated on Sundays and Fridays when campers are dropped off or picked up.

Specific for staff, we ask that you maintain a professional atmosphere with how you dress. Also, on Sundays, it will be required that you wear your staff shirt so you can be set apart from those who work here and those who do not.

Beyond this, camp staff are called to lead by example and set the standard for the campers. We ask that you be very intentional in the clothing that you choose to wear. As such, pack accordingly. Camp reserves the right to ask any staff member to change if it does not meet dress code or does not maintain the intended professional atmosphere.

"The Refuge" is a place to get snacks. We also have opened our new camp store with lots of camp merch. For your safety, we don't allow anyone to carry cash inside the cabins. During staff training we will talk you through how to add money to your store account.

It is also highly recommended that you bring some personal sunscreen and insect repellent. A water bottle is always a good idea, too. Junior and Senior staff will be required to keep their phones in a secure location outside of the cabins. This is a standard covered in our preventing abuse training. We will provide a place for you to store personal snacks and technology that you can use on your break.

Often times, you will hear people encourage you to pack light for different trips and such. This is not the time to pack light. Many of you will actually be staying in the same place for most of the summer, so settle in! Hang up lights and posters, bring your favorite books to display, and post some pictures of your family and friends on your wall. For senior counselors, find ways to personalize your cabin into a space that represents you. That is your cabin for eight weeks! Own it!

Finally, get into character! This summer we will be solving the great mystery as detectives. We're still trying to figure out how we will divide everyone out, but keep this in mind as you prepare for summer! Pack clothes and props that can help integrate you further into our theme.
